Why Learn to Sail in The Caribbean?

You can learn to sail just about anywhere in the world, so why chose to learn to sail in the Caribbean? Here at SeaHorse Sailing School, we can think of many reasons but have had to narrow it down. So here are our top 5 reasons why you should join a sailing school in the Caribbean.

The weather. Year round sunshine is obviously a bonus, but as we are based in an area with low tropical storm risks, it means you can learn how to sail in all seasons. Great if your vacation time is limited.

The islands. Grenada and the Grenadines have so much to offer  every traveler. The islands are stunningly beautiful and each one has its own unique identity. The best way to visit the islands is by boat. Once you have learned how to sail and gained your ASA 104 or 114 certificate, you will be qualified to bareboat charter in the Caribbean and everywhere else in the world

The vibe. You can’t fail to be seduced by the curious mix of laid back living and colourful carnival vibe of life on the islands. You will receive a warm welcome by the locals and the best way to  fit in is by “liming” with them, relaxing with a beer or rum punch.

The sailing. Constant winds all year round and short distances between island equals great sailing and a different location every day. You will be able to experience all points of sail, learn how to anchor safely, pick up a mooring ball and go alongside a dock.

A holiday. All our sailing courses are designed so that you also have time to relax, whether that means swimming, snorkeling, exploring, enjoying a beach BBQ or watching the sun go down with a bottle of local beer. And where better to do all this but in the Windward Islands. At SeaHorse Sailing School we aim to give you an adventure holiday, part learning, part vacation, totally memorable.

So choose SeaHorse Sailing School to learn to sail in the Caribbean.
