The reason you are considering a Grenada and the Grenadines sailing school is probably so that as well as gaining your ASA certificate you have the opportunity to explore this beautiful part of the world. The area has retained a rustic charm and it is an area we love. Each island has it’s own identity and something to offer it’s visitors.
We Offer 3 Sailing Itineraries!
We offer 3 different itineraries. One itinerary starts and finishes in Grenada and explores Grenada’s beautiful islands. We also offer one-way cruises between Grenada and St Vincent and or vice-versa. After a day of teaching, you will welcome the opportunity to relax. So, as well as enjoying some great sailing, you can check out some of these amazing destinations:
Featured Grenada Destinations
True Blue Bay, Grenada:
The week starts at True Blue Resort and Marina, in Grenada. Conveniently situated only 10 minutes from the international airport, the hotel is a perfect spot to stay either before or after your course. This is where you will meet the boat and your instructor, and receive a thorough boat and safety briefing.
Grand Anse Beach:
Grenada’s stunning and most popular beach. Grand Anse beach is the perfect spot for a rum cocktail after your first day’s sailing tuition.
For some R&R, you can snorkel the underwater sculpture park, the first of it’s kind in the world!
Tyrell Bay, Carriacou:
With a soft, white sandy beach, bars, restaurants and local craft shops, Tyrell Bay is a great spot for exploring or just relaxing….
Petit St Vincent:
Petit St Vincent is a private island resort where you can live like the rich..even if it is just for one drink ashore.
Situated off Carriacou, Sandy Island is a picture postcard, nature reserve where you can watch the marine life swimming by. You may get the opportunity to swim with turtles here!
Mopion is a tiny little island that is home to just one lonely, but very beautiful umbrella.

Featured Grenadines Destinations
True Blue Bay, Grenada or Blue Lagoon, St Vincent:
Start either from our base at True Blue Resort and Marina, or Blue Lagoon Hotel and Marina in St Vincent for the boat and safety briefing, before setting sail. If setting off from Grenada, we will sail to Tyrell Bay, Carriacou to check out of Grenada.
Once we have cleared out of Grenada at Tyrell Bay, we will visit Union Island to check into St Vincent and The Grenadines. If we stay here overnight then a visit to Happy Island is essential.
Saltwhistle Bay, Mayreau:
A simply beautiful bay! Once you have dropped the anchor, you will instantly start to relax in Saltwhistle Bay.
Tobago Cays Marine Park consists of 5 small, uninhabited islands and extensive coral reefs. Swim with turtles in the afternoon and enjoy a lobster BBQ in the evening.
The second largest island in St Vincent and The Grenadines, Bequia has a laid back, hippy feel about it. It has a range of bars and restaurants and again, great beaches and snorkelling.
The island of the rich and famous! Mustique is a private island where you might bump into Mick Jagger whilst enjoying a sundowner at Basil’s Bar. A visit here will cost a bit extra for the compulsory mooring fees, but you may consider it worth it!

When you learn to sail with our Caribbean sailing school, we try to ensure you get the best learning experience possible mixed with a variety of other experiences such as snorkeling, fishing, sampling the local cuisine and sampling the local rums. The destinations above are only a guide to some of the places you may visit during your week and the actual itinerary will be dependent on the weather and number of crew on board.
